Climate change is a natural as well as human induced phenomenon. Human activities such as emission of greenhouse gases coerce the climate into changing more rapidly than it should. Climate change includes changes in temperature, precipitation and wind patterns that last for extended periods of time. Climate change is the most serious global challenge of our time. It is the most  significant  economic,  political,  environmental  and  human problem  facing the 21st century.

THE ROLE OF MEDIA IN ARMED CONFLICT. CASE STUDY OF UGANDA

Media is a powerful actor that interconnects the entire world today. As an actor, it can be used for positive or the negative purposes. In conflicts, media can be used as a tool for promoting peace and also as a tool to exacerbate the conflicts further. Conflict areas tend to be the main sources of the threats to human security. These include lack of health security, food security, economic security, political security, community security and environmental security. They tend to nurture international crimes such as drug trafficking, terrorism.

HUMAN SMUGGLING ACROSS KENYA-ETHIOPIA BORDER

Due  to  the  low  levels  of  investigation,  prosecution  and  conviction  of  human  smuggling especially across Kenya Ethiopia border there has been an increase in number of humans being smuggled from Ethiopia through Kenya to South Africa and to some extent Kenyans being smuggled  through  Ethiopia  to  places  like  Libya.

MEDIA COVERAGE OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING IN NIGERIA

Human trafficking is the act of transporting victims from one place to another forcefully or without their consent. Human trafficking has been a trend in Nigeria for many years. Due to this, the media have taken a step ahead to spread relevant information about this vice to the society. The main objective of the study was to investigate the nature of media coverage of human trafficking in Nigeria since her independence. The study investigated the nature of human trafficking in Nigeria.

African states have yet to master fully how to apply sport to achieve their interest and to build their political power and influence globally. When sport goes beyond national boundaries it becomes an intimate companion of diplomacy. Sports Diplomacy is an increasingly important aspect of diplomatic practice and growing part of the global sports industry. The main purpose of the study was to establish the role of sports diplomacy in the pursuit of Africa’s and Kenya’s national interest in  particular.

Refugees and Regional Security in the Horn of Africa

This research aims to investigate the impact that refugees have on security in the Horn of Africa. Chapter 1 will introduce the topic covering the countries embedded in the region and  factors  contributing  to  the refugee  crisis.  Consequently,  the  research  paper  will integrate Buzan’s concept of Regional Security to facilitate analysis, interpretation and understanding of the refugee crisis facing the region.
