Dr. Maluki was invited to facilitate the IGAD sponsored ‘UGANDA NATIONAL DIALOGUE PROCESS: Mediation and Dialogue workshop and High-Level Experience Sharing Consultations’ which took place on the 27th October at Windsor Hotel. His topic of discussion was “Conflict Handling styles and tools for intervention”.

The event was graced by 30 of Uganda’s Political Parties' leadership who were keen on learning the key variables in mediation and other conflict resolution methods. Dr. Maluki took them through an in-depth understanding of conflict by employing the Thomas-Kilman Conflict Model which theorizes the struggle between assertiveness (focus on one’s needs, desired outcome, and agenda) and cooperation (focus on another’s needs and mutual relationship) in conflict resolution.
