GRADUATION QUOTE

Friday 17th December 2021 presented a day of celebrations and cheer as the university marked its 66th graduation ceremony. A total of 6,647 students were celebrated and accorded a ‘University of Nairobi Graduate’ status. The Chancellor of the university, Dr Vijoo Rattansi encouraged the graduands, quoting Shel Silverstein inspirational piece on possibilities and impossibilities in life.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Stephen Kiama, sang the milestones the university has achieved in terms of research, innovation and entrepreneurship. He described the ‘eco-system ‘culture as a support advantage to both students and staff that will guide the university in “upholding academic excellence and resilience through technology amidst the pandemic”.

The Department of Diplomacy and International Studies awarded 285 students their degrees. The guest of honour, The Chief Administrative Secretary, Department of Early Learning and Basic Education, Ministry of Education Dr Sara Ruto congratulated the fresh graduates echoing the Vice-Chancellor’s remarks on the achievements and strides of the university. Indeed, the university had proven itself as the centre of scholarly excellence.
