Today , the chair of the department Dr. Patrick Maluki held a consultative meeting with Prof. Adam Jelonek the Director of institute of Asia and Africa studies in Jangollenian university, Krakow Poland. 

In the meeting which was also attended my faculty members, discussed possible areas of collaboration between DDIS and his institute. We agreed exchange programs and  that early next year the DDIS should a faculty member and student to teach to his institute.  Also the institute will send one faculty member member and one student to DDIS. Other areas of collaboration will include Jointly authoring a book on Conflict in Africa and organizing a symposium in Nairobi next year.
