This is a joint study project by Prof. Wang Yongzhong, a Senior Fellow, International Commodity, Institute of World Economics and Politics (IWEP), and Dr. Patrick Maluki a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Diplomacy and International Studies University of Nairobi.

Dr. Patrick Maluki is the African Principal Investigator and is conducting research on the role of China in fostering sustainable energy supply and the adoption of a developmental state model in Africa. Project duration: January 2021 to June 2022.
