IDIS FORUM FOR INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS (IFIA)

The IDIS Forum for International Affairs is a student-led nonprofit organization of upcoming diplomats within the IDIS.

Key pillars of interest at IFIA include: 

• Diplomacy
• Peace and Conflict 
• Democracy and Good Governance
• International Law
• Security etc

The aim of the organization is to:

• Facilitate practical scenarios through simulations of the United Nations, African Union, and East African Community
• Incorporate a complementary practical experience into classwork through mentorship sessions, public lectures, and study visits
• Be a pioneer front where IDIS students can engage in multifaceted debated on current international affairs regardless of their level of study
• Be a place where researchers and writers on international affairs can be identified, mentored, and developed
• Give back to the community through volunteering and community service
