THE INSTITUTES OF DIPLOMACY AND INTERNATIONAL STUDIES WELCOMES NEW STUDENTS FOR ORIENTATION, B.A AND ORDINARY DIPLOMA.
The Institutes of Diplomacy and International Studies (IDIS) Director, Prof. Amb. Maria Nzomo has officially welcomed new students admitted for B.A and Ordinary Diploma programmes.
In her first official address to the 2016/2017 freshmen and women at the 8.4.4 Multipurpose hall, Prof. Nzomo congratulated the students on their admission to the University of Nairobi.
The Director noted that the Institutes was one of its kind and had thousands of successful alumni across the world. She also noted that IDIS is among the best Institutes in Africa.
She however, reiterated that the Institutes had enough resources and manpower to help the students achieve their academic and professional dreams. “We have the best lecturers and non-teaching staff to help you in your academic and social endeavors.”
Prof Nzomo also challenged the new students to be focused and committed in their studies, She also advised the students to be responsible and avoid risky situations while in campus. “Avoid situations that will compromise or put your academic work in jeopardy.
Among those who attended the event were the Associate Director, Mr. Gerrishon Ikiara, Examination Officer Dr. Patrick Maluki, lecturers and non-teaching staff.
